Lilac Daze & Tip for nail colour to pop.

I've been looking for a pastel-ish nail colour for soooo long! so happy i found one :D

Nail Tip : Ive always loved bright and neon coloured nail polish, but always hated how even after 4 coats the colour would never be opaque enough, ending up looking bad...

so one day whilst applying a neon colour to my already white nails (to test the colour in store) i realised what a white base background could do to a colour. it popped it out so much and the colour (for once) looked like what it looks like in the bottle.

Ever since, i always apply just 1 light coat of a white nail colour, and then 2 coats of my colour, and finally i seal it all in with a layer of sheer nail polish.

seriously, if you ever had the same problem and never figured this out try it! idk why it took me this long!

Everyday Makeup ; Summer Edition

This summer, I've grown more fond of makeup for some weird reason... It could have something to do with buying The core collection real technique's brushes (Review coming soon).

They're amazing, and well , being my first brushes i own, i was kind of super excited to use them for everything! hence, wearing more make up!

After so much experimenting, i finally found a nice daily routine that still looks like a "natural no make up " look.

First off, i start with Moisturiser and a Lip Balm, to literally .. moisturise my face. haha

I wait a few minutes for the moisturiser to dry, and then apply a little bit of the BB cream, and then a little bit of the True Match Foundation. i do this on somedays when i want extra coverage.

Usually though, i just go with wearing the BB cream. (review soon!)

I love using the Real Techniques "Buffing brush" for applying both, it blends them soooo well!

L'oreal True Match in N7 Amber.

I then apply the L'Oreal Concealer using the Real Techniques "Pointed Foundation" brush. my under eye circles are so dark, so if anyone has a solution i'd love to hear it!

I like using both, Soap & Glory and Bare Minerals,  just because i use the soap and glory more as a highlighter, in the upper part of my cheek bones, and on the bridge of my nose, and i use the bare minerals on the lower part of my cheeks, (the fleshy bit under your bone when you smile).

I love the soap and glory, but i just feel like i need a bit of pink on my cheeks sometimes.

Review of the soap and glory here

I use my sephora Blush brush No 4 to apply the Bare minerals
and Real Techniques Contour brush to apply the soap and glory.

For mascara , I'm loving this one by L'oreal.

I don't wear it every every day, but on the better days, i do.

For lips, I'm loving the Revlon Colour Burst in the colour "Vivacious"

And thats itttt, do share your summer makeup routine in the comments below  :)!

How to : Stir Fry (Noodles & Chicken) . Super easy!

Sometimes when I'm feeling like having chinese, i opt for this super easy stir fry recipe, because honestly, i am such a terrible cook, i would probably burn anything else chinese. (They seem so hard!)

This recipe takes a total of about 30 minutes , and is kind of the easiest thing ever.

Ingredients :

  • Egg fried noodles (They come dried like that, you don't actually fry them in egg ! lol)
  • Stir Fry Vegetables (or chop some carrots, lettuce, cabbage, etc into thin thin slices)
  • Soy Sauce
  • Chicken (Or your choice)

Step 1:

Leave the noodles to soften , i didn't need the stove for this, i just heated some water in the kettle , popped the noodles in a pan, and let it sit for a few minutes (They get done so quick , so watch out they don't become soggy)

when they're ready , clear the water out.

Step 2:

Chop your chicken into thin slices.

Step 3:

Place your Stir Fry pan on HIGH heat, with some oil (Not olive oil , as olive oil will cool down the pan, and the trick in stir fry is to have everything hot as hell, so make sure all your veggies are chopped and ready to go! )

Step 4:

Fry your chicken first, it takes the longest, everything else literally takes about 2 minutes each.

Step 5:

After your chicken turns a white-gold colour, or just looks like its almost ready, add in your pretty veggies, so that they can cook together without the chicken burning!

 Step 6:

Add a some soy sauce so they can cook together (idk how much exactly, honestly, i just go with the taste and look of it. )

Step 7:

Almost done,  add your noodles!

Depending on how much noodles you're using, you may need to add some more soy sauce, just go with what tastes right!

Mix mix mix mix mix mix mix mix mix mix mix.

Finally, Serve and enjoooyyyy. since i was feeling a more Chinese meal, i bought some ready spring rolls, and sushi to complement the meal.

if you do try this, let me know! :)

Review : Soap & Glory Peach Party Blush Wheel.

Everytime we would walk past the soap & glory bit in boots, my sister would always talk about how much she loved the "peach party blush wheel" . I honestly never seemed interested as i thought it would be too shimmery, and just not what i wanted in a blush.

A few days ago, she bought me one as a gift, and well since i had it, i definitely had to give it a go.

I can't even start to say how much I FELL IN LOVE.

This blush wheel is so amazing! i was so worried it would be too bronze, as I'm quite tan, but no it was perfect.

The shimmer is just right, and it lasts all day!

It gives off a natural tan vibe, and with the luminating shimmer,  it makes you look so awake and ah i don't know , it just makes me feel so pretty.

Literally would totally recommend this to anyone, its the perfect summer blush, and it looks so effortless. i love it!

I also like using the whitish bit on the corners of my eyes using a detailed brush.

Honestly, you can use this wheel in so many ways, I'm so impressed!

Viva La Germany!!

Honestly, i can't even believe what happened in the World Cup FIFA Final .

I've been supporting Germany since 2002, and to finally see them win that golden beautiful trophy, warms my heart so much. literally.

If you're to say they didn't deserve it, i'd have to stop you right there.

They played wonderfully this year. Honestly, they were the team to win it! they literally put on THE BEST games ever.

Dragging Algeria to that extra time, and then shocking us with that 7-1 brazil Semi-Final.

I literally was mentally preparing myself for Germany to lose that semi final against Brazil. I told myself, "hey sara you know what, they made it this far , so don't get too upset about it" ... And then 7-1 happened. SHOCKED ME. SHOCKED THE WORLD I'm sure.

That final game though, vs Argentina , was such a good game!

I can't say Argentina didn't play. they did. they put on such an amazing game. Dragging on the Germans with that extra time. i mean honestly, i was scared it would have gotten to the penalties, cause thats just pure luck and i don't know if the Germans had luck (Before that Gotze goal of course)

At 114 Minutes into the game, with literally just 6 left, Gotze scored literally such a shocking goal! i was certainly NOT expecting that one! BUT BOY DID IT MAKE ME HAPPY.

I think i twisted my ankle with the amount of jumping around i did after that goal. INSANE. SO PROUD

IM SO HAPPY THEY WON. honestly they deserved this! i didn't expect them to win the title this year, with Netherlands and Brazil in the semi's, but they did deserve it and i couldn't be happier !

VIVA LA GERMANY.

Who did you want to win? (PS sorry Argentinian fans but how amazing was that welcome home?)

How to : Chewy Melts

Those cookies are to die for and i finally found a recipe that works and tastes amazing , so i decided to give it a go.

This recipe takes about 45 minutes from start to finish but its so easy to make.

Ingredients :

  • 2 Eggs
  • 180g Dark chocolate
  • 1 Cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup of All purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 of Caster (super fine) Sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60g)  of Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon baking powder
  • Some icing sugar for the top

Method:

First pre-heat your oven on 180C-200C

Put the chocolate pieces and butter in a microwavable bowl and melt in the microwave.

In another bowl, sift the Flour, Baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.

Then, using the Electric Mixer, beat the eggs, sugar and Vanilla essence until creamy in texture.

Still , using the electric the mixer, add the chocolate mix first , beat, and then add the flour mix and beat again till the batter is cake like batter.

Add in the chocolate chips, and just stir them in with a spoon.

Now apply the mix with a spoon on to a pan (covered with a baking sheet) and put it in the oven.

ps: if the oven is on from the bottom then keep the pan on the top shelf of the oven (as to not burn the bottom).

Leave the cookies in until the top starts to have cracks and start looking crispy.

This needs about 9-15 minutes. depending on your oven. just keep checking on them every 2 mins.

Keep them to cool. This is soooo important! they need to be quite cooled down before you move them off the baking sheet otherwise the chewy bit of the cookie will stay stuck on to the pan and part of the cookie will come out etc.

Whilst they're still hot, taking some icing sugar , and tap it on the cookies.

Finally when they're cooled down, transfer them on a plate and enjoyyyyy
